Position Overview

As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate daily transportation operations by assigning trips, communicating with drivers, monitoring service activity, and responding to operational challenges in real time. Your ability to make quick decisions and communicate effectively will help ensure a positive experience for both passengers and drivers.

Key Responsibilities of a Dispatcher:Dispatch & Scheduling

• Assign trips to drivers based on availability and service needs.
• Monitor active trips and driver status throughout the day.
• Adjust schedules and assignments as operational needs change.
• Ensure efficient coverage and timely service delivery.
• Coordinate ride requests and service modifications.

Driver Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during their shifts.
• Provide updates, trip information, and route assistance.
• Answer driver questions and help resolve day-to-day issues.
• Communicate operational changes quickly and accurately.
• Escalate concerns to management when necessary.

Operations Monitoring

• Track service performance and trip completion.
• Respond to delays, cancellations, and service interruptions.
• Assist with maintaining on-time performance and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and address operational challenges as they arise.
• Support efficient use of vehicles and driver resources.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate trip records and dispatch logs.
• Update information in dispatch and scheduling systems.
• Assist with reporting and operational documentation.
• Ensure information is organized, accurate, and up to date.

Qualifications of a Dispatcher:Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred

• Experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, scheduling, or customer service.
• Familiarity with GPS systems, dispatch software, or fleet management platforms.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
