What You'll Do as a Fleet Coordinator - Entry Level
Fleet & Driver Coordination
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding trip assignments, service updates, and operational needs.
- Assist with coordinating transportation schedules to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor fleet activity and help maintain on-time performance.
- Provide drivers with route information, trip details, and operational support.
- Respond to driver questions and assist with day-to-day transportation challenges.
Transportation Operations Support
- Help coordinate transportation services and accommodate schedule adjustments as needed.
- Communicate service updates to drivers and internal team members.
- Assist in resolving routine service issues and operational concerns.
- Collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and management teams to support daily operations.
- Help ensure a positive customer experience through accurate and timely communication.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of trips, driver activity, and fleet operations.
- Perform data entry and update information within company systems.
- Assist with operational reports, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Review schedules and communicate concerns or discrepancies to management.
- Ensure operational information remains accurate, organized, and up to date.
Qualifications of a Fleet Coordinator:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in customer service, transportation, dispatching, logistics, call center operations, or administrative support is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
