Key Responsibilities of a Transportation Services Manager:

Customer Service & Community Relations

• Champion a customer-first culture focused on service excellence
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, community partners, and stakeholders
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively
• Develop strategies to improve service quality, customer satisfaction, and retention
• Monitor service performance and implement improvements when needed

Team Leadership & Workforce Development

• Lead and support office staff, drivers, and operational personnel
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention efforts
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance guidance
• Encourage collaboration and communication across all departments

Operations & Fleet Oversight

• Oversee daily transportation operations to ensure dependable service delivery
• Monitor operational efficiency and service levels
• Coordinate fleet readiness and maintenance scheduling with maintenance teams
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support safety initiatives and operational best practices

Performance Management & Business Growth

• Review operational reports, key performance indicators, and service metrics
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and service quality
• Partner with senior leadership to achieve operational and financial goals
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, contract compliance, and strategic planning initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement efforts across all areas of the operation
