National Business Development Representative- Nationwide

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Business Development Representative to join our Commercial Waste Services team. This role is designed for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hunting-focused environment. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-term partnerships with clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and Develop New Business: Actively identify, target, and engage potential clients to expand the company's customer base.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and propose tailored waste management solutions. Educate prospects on service differentiation, pricing, and value during and after the sales process
  • Conduct Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Onsite Visits: Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to present services, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Collaborate Internally: Work closely with Pricing & Implementation team to ensure seamless implementation of services for new accounts. Follow up after sales to achieve referrals and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain CRM Records: Track and document all sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward goals in the company’s CRM system.
  • Track Productivity: Deliver accurate sales forecasts-weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Travel: Some regional travel expected, and occasional off hours/weekends for customer’s needs.
  • Maintain: High level of integrity, commitment, and trust to exceed expectations in sales and retention of customer accounts.
  • Remote: Remote work with some office time expected.
  • Networking: Some networking events/trade show attendance required.



Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years in outside sales, preferably in a hunting role. Experience in the waste & recycling industry or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly driven and organized, with a proactive approach to prospecting and closing sales.
  • Adaptability: Ability to understand and communicate technical information.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel locally within the assigned territory.
  • Proficient: In Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Windows software applications

Compensation: $50,000 (based on experience) / Commission
