About the Role
ZT Systems is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to execute computer hardware reliability system testing and analysis through all phases of the product life cycle working with cross-functional teams, including hardware developers and system engineers. The Reliability Engineer will work with both our customers and internal teams seamlessly on reliability modeling, NPI (new product introduction). This individual will perform RDT (Reliability Demonstration Testing), ORT (On-going Reliability Testing), and HALT (highly accelerated life testing) per customer requirements and will support failure analysis and corrective action efforts, as needed.
Responsibilities
• Exposure/Ability to perform Reliability Failure Modeling using Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), and driving corrective actions to reduce the identified risks
• Participate in product design and reliability reviews during new product development to ensure robustness of product design and manufacturing processes
• Set-up, perform and/or oversee any required product reliability demonstration testing (RDT) and/or On-going reliability testing (ORT).
• Applying state-of-the-art HALT principals and customer specifications, perform all aspects of HALT (Highly accelerated Life Testing) utilizing combination (random vibration with fast ramp rate thermal cycling) environmental test chamber.
• Help drive any required corrective actions and perform any testing to validate, as needed.
• Helps drive quality improvements to meet all customer expectations, as needed.
• Must exhibit self-motivation, demonstrate sense of urgency and be capable of successfully multi-tasking in a high pressure, fast-paced environment, matrix environment
Requirements
• Exposure to Test, Quality Engineering and Product Reliability
• Great attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize
• Basic background/exposure in performing/managing RDT, ORT, HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), or validation testing, DVT, etc.
• Basic debugging Hardware, Firmware and Test scripting skills
• Ability to drive any required corrective actions.
• Excellent computer and data entry skills - including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e.. Excel)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility
• Possess a high level of integrity and work ethic
Minimum Qualifications
• BS in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of direct experience in server platform validation.
• MS in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of direct experience in server platform validation.
