About The Role
We are seeking a Metal and Mechanical Fabricator Technician with strong electrical expertise in low-voltage systems to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components, integrating mechanical systems, and performing electrical wiring and troubleshooting for low-voltage applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
What You Will Do
- Fabricate, cut, weld, and assemble metal components according to engineering specifications including fabrication of various production jigs and fixtures
- Perform mechanical assembly of frames, enclosures, and structural components.
- Install and route low-voltage wiring for electrical systems and components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., saws, grinders, welders, bending machines).
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in metal fabrication and mechanical assembly.
- Working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and wiring practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Proficient in using fabrication tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CNC machines or advanced fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs or control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
