What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Technician position at ZSG?
- Assist with full press setups: hanging plates, mounting blankets, changing ink, and helping bring jobs up to register.
- Operate the press under the guidance of the 1st Pressman (adjusting register, pulling proofs, making minor corrections).
- Monitor quality during the run and alert the 1st Pressman of potential issues.
- Assist with wash-ups, color changes, and general press cleaning between jobs.
- Prepare and stage materials (plates, ink, paper, chemicals) for upcoming runs.
- Document production data and assist in job ticket completion as directed.
- Support training of new employees and interns by showing them proper handling of stock, ink, and pressroom practices
Salary : $40,000 - $60,000
