General Summary:
The primary role of the Production Operator is to perform work assigned in the manufacturing of products and work closely with the other Operations personnel in the daily operation of the reactor, warehouse and logistics areas. The role is responsible for the manufacturing of assigned products according to company-approved instructions, the staging and loading of all raw materials, the transferring of all products to storage, the cleaning of and proper care of all vessels and manufacturing equipment. Products are to be manufactured utilizing all safety procedures and in accordance with company-approved guidelines for in-specification products. This includes operating efficient production processes, product quality, clean and safe working conditions, and building healthy and effective relationships with site employees. The Production Operator performs general housekeeping responsibilities in the production and warehouse areas. The Production Operator executes plans, policies and procedures to achieve production, safety, and environmental goals.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
· Ensure that all Company policies regarding environmental, health and safety are implemented and adhered to at all times.
·Manufacture assigned products according to company-approved instructions as per production schedules.
· Stages and load all necessary raw materials, Filters and transfers products to storage or packaging. Packages products as directed.
· Performs cleaning and other tasks to ensure the required cleanliness and proper care of all vessels and manufacturing equipment.
· Assist in maintaining all equipment, including performing some preventive maintenance work as assigned. Report any mechanical problems for repairs due to equipment failure or safety concerns to the Leadership.
· Assists in the loading and unloading of bulk and packaged shipments as the need arises. Proper identification of products and sampling for QC analysis are to be performed as required.
· Responsible for monitoring and cleaning filters while transferring or loading products.
· The Production Operator is expected to learn all job duties in the warehouse and will be assigned to work in the warehouse as needed. These duties include, but are not limited to:
- Movement and loading of packaged finished products.
- Manually moving filled drums up to approximately five-hundred (500) pounds using a manual drum dolly.
- Moving and stacking packaged materials using powered lift equipment – pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Movement and unloading of packaged raw materials in pails, drums and intermediate bulk containers (“IBC” or “totes”).
· Assists in tracking all raw material inventories to ensure sufficient supply. Performs physical inventory counting duties and submits requests to the Production Manager for bulk and non-bulk raw materials.
· Assists in tracking all intermediate and finished goods inventories, both bulk and packaged, to ensure sufficient supply.
· Assists in tracking operating supplies for the Operations areas to ensure sufficient supply. Submits requests to the Production Manager for operating supplies needed.
· Assists in tracking all packaging supplies (drums, totes, pails, seals, etc.) for the Operations areas to ensure sufficient supply. Submit requests to the Production Manager for all needed operating supplies.
· Interact with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify and correct any related issues/concerns with daily operations.
· Perform duties as directed by Supervision, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Associate’s degree in technical discipline preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years Chemical manufacturing experience is required
- Batch chemical processing preferred
- Emulsion polymerization highly preferred
- Willingness to work on shift as well as Scheduled overtime as needed
- Ability to work under pressure and be a team player
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Travel by car, air or other method when necessary to visit other sites
- Should be able to drive forklift and warehouse related rolling stocks
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift < 50 lbs. for < 30% of the time
- Able to lift materials, such as hoses, in order to load and unload tanker trailers.
- Able to physically react quickly to equipment issues or chemical emergencies.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to breathe through a full-face or half-face respirator while laboring. A respirator fit test is required to be passed annually.
- Must be able to climb stair and ladders several times in a shift.
- Must be able to operate a manual pallet dolly that requires use of arms and legs at the same time.
- Must be able to hear adequately.
- Must be able to speak clearly and, at times, loudly.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
