We are looking for a Grading Foreman to join our team and grow with the company.Primarily located in Sacramento region of California. Possible travel to jobs in other areas of California.Competitive SalaryCompany truck with fuel card Job Responsibilities/ Qualifications:· Oversee all on-site grading and earthwork activities· Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, motor graders, excavators, loaders, scrapers and compactors· Ability to grade stakes and grade set· Knowledge of grading, excavation, cut and fill, compaction, drainage and site preparation· Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and soil reports.· Knowledge of safety regulations and protocolEnforce OSHA safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols on-site. · Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a crew while providing a safe and productive work environment· Time management skills with the ability to manage job deadlines as well as employees’ hours.· Organization skills to schedule and manage daily activities· Ability to stand for long period of time, walk on uneven terrain, climb on/off equipment, lift as well· Maintain equipment daily, such as greasing etc.· Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.· Ability to effectively communicate. Be able to coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, local officials, and employees.· Ability and knowledge of DIR jobs and paperwork
