Associate Principal - Tech Strategy
The Associate Principal - Tech Strategy role at ZS is a critical one in driving our Technology Vector growth strategy. The primary focus for this role will be on our client's CxO leaders of our client organization and their respective teams. The role has a dual focus: (a) increasing the mind-share quotient of ZS Technology expertise with senior leadership across our existing and prospective clients and (b) delivering Tech Strategy services to clients.
We do anticipate that this seasoned technology leader will collaborate closely with other ZS Technology teams in shaping the delivery and execution of the Tech Strategy services.
What you'll do:
- Lead advisory efforts working closely with our clients through Tech Advisory business development (proactive and reactive proposals) and deliver Tech Advisory engagements in the Life Sciences Industry;
- Bridge the gap from pure Strategy to Implementation, thus straddle working across both business leaders and IT leaders at the client;
- Demonstrate deep life sciences / healthcare industry sector knowledge with a functional expertise across operations;
- Provide architectural point of views & insights as part of a multidisciplinary consulting services for our clients;
- Consistently deliver high impact and high value & innovative client services in the areas of IT Strategy, City Planning, Rationalization, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture;
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to conduct several activities like Enterprise IT analysis, gap assessment, maturity mapping, future-state architecture definitions, EA Governance operating model and more in digital, machine learning, data and analytics space;
- Improvise Solutions and Recommendations highly contextual to client eco-system;
- Collaborate with Tech Advisory Services leadership to define and execute practice roadmap;
- Define and establish a technical strategy, standards, and guidelines in the application/data architecture domain;
- Stay current on latest EA/technology trends and architecture patterns, and lead the effort to develop ZS POV for strategic decision-making;
- Understand business side of IT and provide solutions & deliverables which are pragmatic, and business focused;
- Customize and apply Industry EA frameworks like TOGAF/Zachman/ArchiMate in a pragmatic way to address client needs.
What you'll bring:
- 10 years of experience in an IT or Management Consulting firm or Enterprise Architecture function with proven expertise in Big Data/Application/Integrations;
- Must have project (technology and architecture views) implementation experience in any Digital, Cloud, Data & Analytics space (AWS or Azure or Google);
- Experience and understanding of frameworks and modeling specifications like TOGAF/Zachman/ArchiMate, preferably using EA Tools;
- Demonstrated experience in driving agenda setting services at the "C" level of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies;
- An ability to formulate and present strategic points of view on relevant industry trends and enterprise digital strategy;
- Prior experience in technology led transformation programs;
- Demonstrated success in IT strategy, City Planning, Rationalization, Big Data Solution Architecture, and Enterprise Architecture;
- Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge;
- An appetite for continuous learning and research to understand technology trends and their impact on the enterprise technology landscape;
- Executive-level presence and communication;
- Nice to have – Exposure to Middleware, Integrations, Automation, Security areas.
