Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role based in Milwaukee, WI. The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for new buildings, additions, expansions, means and methods and rehabilitation projects, producing calculations and design documentation in accordance with codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing structural drawings and details using BIM tools. The role involves conducting condition assessments, assisting with forensic investigations, and preparing technical reports, specifications, and construction administration documents. The Structural Engineer will collaborate closely with senior engineers, architects, and building enclosure specialists, participate in client and project team meetings, and provide on-site support for inspections, field observations, and problem-solving during construction.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis and engineering Calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, and/or wood structures, including code-compliant design and load evaluation.
- Experience with BIM software for producing structural drawings, details, and coordination documents.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
- Ability to conduct field observations, document existing conditions, and prepare clear technical reports and specifications.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
