Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. Duties
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases.
- Maintain knowledge of products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
- Supervise and train new staff members in cash handling procedures and customer service best practices.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus.
- Experience with cash registers and cash handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to supervise others and provide guidance when needed.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
