What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Relations Senior Account Executive position at Zozimus Agency?
The Senior Account Executive (SAE) has over five years of public relations agency experience. The SAE serves as a primary client contact, handling the execution of the tactical and strategic elements of Zozimus’ public relations campaigns. As part of the PR team, the SAE will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of influencer marketing strategies and should possess a deep understanding of the earned and paid influencer landscape. The right candidate is a self-starter, entrepreneurial and someone who is comfortable working remotely to start.
The SAE reports directly to the department head and is responsible for the daily oversight of assigned interns and junior staff as needed. The SAE has mastered the tactical execution of a public relations campaign and continues to develop and refine strategic skills by working closely with department heads and executive staff to develop and implement a successful PR campaign
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Develop a strong relationship with client contact(s) and act as back-up to the Account Director
• Develop and maintain successful relationships with key media members
• Identify, pitch and follow-up with editorial opportunities and new media opportunities
• Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies and influencers
• Develop new, creative approaches to influencer campaigns
• Track all paid influencer partnership activity with understanding of best performers based KPIs, ROI to make recommendations for future activity and partnerships
• Continually look to identify various client opportunities
• Write and place by-lined articles when appropriate
• Attend in-person press meetings with client, when appropriate
• Write press kit documents as well as news releases and pitch letters
• Develop press tour schedules, appointments, secure meetings at trade shows
• Develop tactical plans for clients, as needed
• Oversee monthly and quarterly PR reports
• Keep abreast of client industries, competition and coverage
• Manage a team of Account Executives and Account Coordinators as assigned
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree
• Five to seven years of public relations agency experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with hospitality clients preferred
• Massachusetts or New Hampshire resident candidates preferred
