What are the responsibilities and job description for the RRP Trainer - EPA Lead Paint Renovator Certification Course position at ZOTA Professional Training?
Instructor needed to train classes on the EPA Lead Renovation Repair and Painting Rule (RRP). This is a contracted position that will consist of 1-4 days per month depending on training needs. There is flexibility in scheduling classes based on the instructor’s availability. ZOTA is looking for someone that is comfortable with technology and confidant speaking in front of groups of 10 students.
Required Education
- Candidate must hold a minimum of 8 hours of accredited lead specific training: Lead Renovator, Lead Inspector, Lead Risk Assessor, Lead Worker, Lead Supervisor, Lead Dust Sampling Technician or Lead Project Designer.
Note: Please specify in resume. Candidates that do not meet the specific lead training requirements might be eligible to receive the required training from ZOTA Professional Training.
Required Experience
- Previous experience teaching workers and/or adults: through direct work experience, a part of your education as listed on diploma or transcript, or a training program completed.
- Construction experience: through education, certificate program, personal and/or professional experience.
Note: Must list construction experience on resume.
Key Duties
- Conduct 8-hour initial EPA Lead Renovator Certification training program consisting of both classroom and hands-on activity
- Conduct 4-hour refresher EPA Lead Renovator Certification training program consisting of both classroom and hands-on activity
Administrative Tasks
- Complete paperwork required for courses; including delivering and correcting course exams
- Submit course paperwork same-day (scanning and uploading documentation & pictures)
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word and accessibility to e-mail
- Must have a laptop computer to use for delivering presentations and a camera/smartphone to take pictures of attendees
General Support
- Other duties as assigned
Training Locations
- This position does not have a set office location.
- Training cities vary by demand in the area and can change if needed.
- Potential travel opportunity available if desired.
