What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Engineer position at Zoox?
Zoox is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive logistics, warehouse design, and new product launches. This role plays a key part in designing and executing logistics operations across our manufacturing footprint and distribution centers, with a focus on optimizing material flow and driving operational efficiency.

\n- Develop and maintain the Plan For Every Part (PFEP) database, ensuring accurate and complete material attributes through consistent stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure SAP material data accuracy and alignment with PFEP planning requirements.
- Design efficient warehouse and lineside layouts that optimize material flow, storage capacity, and operational performance.
- Partner cross-functionally during new product launches to ensure seamless logistics integration, material readiness, and inventory planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost, increase efficiency, and support scalability.
- Support shop floor execution by providing hands-on guidance, training, and problem-solving to drive operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in logistics, industrial engineering, or manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in warehouse design, material flow analysis, and supporting new product launches.
- Proficiency with industrial engineering tools and methodologies, including lean principles and CAD software (preferably AutoCAD).
- Experience working in ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Familiarity with PFEP database development and maintenance.
- Exposure to time studies, process mapping, or simulation tools.
- Automotive, robotics, or advanced manufacturing industry experience.
