Responsibilities
- Provide professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for a variety of dog breeds and other small animals.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process using proper animal restraint techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment for pets.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and after-care instructions.
- Manage scheduling appointments efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service to build lasting client relationships.
- Pet handling during grooming procedures.
- Lift and carry pets safely, including heavy or larger animals, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming, with knowledge of various coat types and breed-specific styles.
- 2 years experience in a professional grooming environment.
- Strong animal handling skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling larger animals or equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners.
- Knowledge of pet care best practices including kennel experience, and animal care standards.
- Clean driving record.
