Zook Interiors is hiring an experienced Commercial Acoustical Ceiling Installer for commercial projects including retail spaces, multi-unit housing, hospitals, schools, and other large facilities. This is a hands-on field position for someone who can install ceiling systems efficiently, read plans, solve jobsite problems, and help less-experienced crew members improve.
Pay: $22-$30 per hour, based on experience
What you'll do
- Install acoustical suspension grid and ceiling tile on commercial projects
- Cut, fit, and install Axiom systems and specialty wood or metal ceilings
- Read blueprints, reflected ceiling plans, layouts, and project specifications
- Lay out work using lasers, squares, chalk lines, and other trade tools
- Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other jobsite equipment safely
- Coordinate with the Foreman and crew to complete work efficiently and to Zook quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Help train or mentor apprentices and laborers when assigned
What you'll bring
- 2 years of commercial acoustical ceiling installation experience
- Working knowledge of ceiling materials, installation methods, and trade tools
- Ability to read plans, take measurements, make calculations, and complete assigned work independently
- Clear communication, dependable attendance, and a team-focused approach
- Valid photo ID and reliable transportation to assigned jobsites
- Ability to comply with company safety requirements and the Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Ability to perform active field work, including climbing, bending, kneeling, working at heights, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule and travel
- Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
- Projects generally fall within a 30-60 mile radius
- Mileage reimbursement is available for qualifying travel beyond 30 miles
- Paid travel time applies after 60 minutes
