Project Manager
Zoofari Parks, a company that owns and operates four distinct animal parks in four different states, is currently seeking a qualified person to aid in design and facilitation of capital projects at the Gulf Breeze location to join our team of professionals at our offices in Gulf Breeze FL.

Description:
Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and overseeing internal construction and improvement projects across the facility. This includes developing in-house design drawings, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and managing the execution of construction activities through completion.
The role includes supporting engineering design efforts under the direct supervision of a Florida Licensed Professional Engineer when necessary, and the ideal candidate will also have a strong foundation in landscape design.
Essential Job Functions:
· Coordinate project activities with internal departments, consultants, regulatory agencies, contractors, and vendors.
· Review engineered drawings and provide technical recommendations for commercial/agricultural construction.
· Prepare in-house design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for assigned projects.
· Assist in development and execution of maintenance and facility improvement programs.
· Review and support contract, procurement, and bid documentation.
· Develop scopes of work and material/equipment specifications for competitive bidding.
· Conduct and document on-site inspections throughout construction phases.
· Manage and maintain project financial, records, schedules, progress reports, and contract deliverables.
· Support the preparation of capital project budgets and design documentation packages.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, contract documents, and applicable regulations.
· Proficiency with CAD and mapping software (AutoCAD preferred).
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
· Experience with Adobe software platforms.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Effective interpersonal skills when interacting with staff, contractors, and external partners.
· Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management abilities.
· Capability to produce technical writing including budget reports, correspondence, and procedural documents.
· Ability to access, input, and manage digital project information.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management; or Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design along with two (2) years of related experience; or four (4) years of verifiable experience in construction project management.
A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of listed requirements
· Must Possess a Valid Florida Driver’s License
· Preference to applicants with a Professional Engineering (PE) license in the State of Florida, Registered Architect (RA) or Landscape Architect (PLA), or those actively pursuing licensure.
· Must be able to climb, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions.
· This position will have office time but will be the main on-site person managing contractors out on property.
Salary & Benefits
· Pay: $62,400 - $95,000
