Duties
- Lead high-energy group fitness classes across a variety of formats such as cardio, strength, flexibility, and specialty workouts.
- Develop innovative class programs by integrating principles of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to maximize safety and effectiveness.
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure proper technique and prevent injuries during sessions.
- Adapt class routines to accommodate different fitness levels and individual needs, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor participants’ form and offer personalized guidance to enhance performance and prevent strain or injury.
- Maintain a positive, motivating environment that encourages participation and builds community spirit.
- Keep accurate records of class attendance, participant feedback, and progress notes for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching group fitness classes or personal training with a strong understanding of coaching techniques.
- Solid knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to ensure safe exercise practices.
- Demonstrated ability to design effective fitness programs tailored to diverse groups with varying abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and motivating participants.
- Certification in group fitness instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) is preferred.
