EBD Special Education Instructional Health Assistant (2025-2026) - Zoneton Middle School

This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

ZMS is seeking an Special Education Health Instructional Assistant!

This applicant will be focused on educating the whole child through collaboration, professional learning communities, a rich tradition of the arts, and targeted individualized instruction. 

• Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam.  Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.  

REQUIRED Qualifications

- Special Education assistant experience

- A willingness to work with tough students who require alot of care

- An attitude of excellance

- Experience with Data Collection

The position is available for 6.5 hours per day and 183 days per year.

(170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days)

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

Step 0:  $15.98

Step 10:  $19.67

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks.  This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule.  4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.

salary / # of pays left = gross biweekly pay
