Actively expedite critical materials, components, and services to support engineering, prototype, and production schedules
Monitor supplier lead times and perform daily follow-ups on high-risk or long-lead items
Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier delivery commitments, escalating issues and negotiating recovery plans
Track open purchase orders and maintain clear visibility of promise dates, ship dates, and receipt status
Coordinate closely with production, program management, and engineering to prioritize shortages and re-sequence deliveries
Work with suppliers on partial shipments, alternative materials, or temporary substitutions (with engineering approval)
Identify potential delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies, including secondary sources, schedule pulls, safety stock, or rework approvals
Collaborate with logistics and receiving teams to expedite shipping, customs, and freight solutions
Support on-site supplier visits (as needed) to resolve chronic delivery or capacity issues
Monitor vendor performance and resolve delivery, quality, logistics, or invoicing issues
Ensure compliance with DFARs, FAR, ITAR, and other applicable federal contracting regulations
Maintain accurate purchase orders and records in procurement systems; support audits and reporting
Drive cost savings, supplier diversification, and process improvements
Develop new sources as needed and maintain key supplier relationships
Track and report on cost savings, delivery timelines, and quality metrics
