The Assistant Controller is a knowledgeable accounting professional with experience in varied contract structures and must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications
- 5 years progressive professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Knowledge of construction industry financial practices and forms preferred
Responsibilities
- Must demonstrate and model Sachse Construction’s core values.
- Prepares month end financial statements and schedules
- Prepares and files required state and local sales/use tax, privilege tax and other returns
- Files required state annual reports and personal property tax returns
- Prepares various monthly reconciliations and reports as assigned by the VP of Finance
- Communicates activities, results, and observations with team members, management, clients, and trade partners as appropriate
- Assists with processing of accounts payable invoices for payment
- Identifies and records appropriate related party allocation for payroll and G&A expenses on a monthly basis
- Prepares all trade partner payments per approved pay sheets and produces applicable waivers
- Coordinates with department managers and commercial/retail divisions to create annual budget
- Updates monthly projections to reflect changes in spending, policies or new information
