What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager position at Zoe?
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to be the strategic and tactical engine behind how our products come to life across every channel.
This role sits at the intersection of product, brand, and growth. You’ll act as a marketing generalist with a sharp focus on our product lineup – helping to concept campaigns, project-managing multi-channel campaigns, optimizing our email and SMS programs, and making sure every product gets the right level of attention with the most compelling positioning possible.
You’ll be a key partner to the Head of Marketing and a bridge between Product Development and Creative — bringing structure, channel expertise, and strategic emphasis to our planning and execution.
This role requires a minimum of 30–40 hours per week; on-site presence required in our Nashville office at least 3 days per week (minimum 5 hours per day). You must live in the Nashville metropolitan area in order to qualify for this role. We are not offering relocation assistance for this position.
What You’ll DoMulti-Channel Strategy & Project Management
- Partner with the Head of Marketing to refine and project manage multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, website, paid, and organic) tied to product launches, seasonal moments, and evergreen brand storytelling.
- Build campaign briefs, timelines, and rollout plans that keep Creative, Lifecycle, and Product teams aligned throughout execution.
- Apply marketing best practices and tactical playbooks to a team with strong creative foundations.
- Manage the calendar of product-led marketing activity end-to-end — from brief to launch to recap.
Email & SMS Optimization
- Concept, plan, and optimize email and SMS programs, including campaigns, automated flows, segmentation strategies, and A/B testing frameworks.
- Recommend improvements to subject lines, messaging hierarchy, send cadence, and audience strategy grounded in performance data.
- Partner with Creative teams to brief compelling, on-brand executions aligned to clear marketing objectives.
- Build and maintain a lightweight testing framework to drive consistent, data-informed learning.
Product Positioning & Messaging
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to develop product positioning, value propositions, and key messages across the core product lineup.
- Translate product features and benefits into clear, differentiated messaging that performs consistently across channels.
- Conduct regular audits of product narratives to ensure primary products receive appropriate attention and are represented with the most compelling storytelling possible.
- Partner with Product Development to develop deep product knowledge and serve as the voice of the market back to the internal team.
Go-to-Market & On-Site Execution
- Support the Head of Marketing in go-to-market planning for new product launches, updates, and line expansions.
- Create product one-sheets, launch briefs, and internal enablement documentation to maintain marketing accuracy and cross-functional alignment.
- Provide recommendations for product detail pages (PDPs)—including messaging hierarchy, proof points, and feature framing—and ensure product narratives remain consistent across all channels.
Market Insights
- Monitor competitors and category trends to inform positioning, messaging, and campaign strategy.
- Identify opportunities to differentiate Zoe products within a competitive market landscape.
- Develop and communicate clear points of view on product differentiation and areas for sharpened storytelling.
Who You AreRequired
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, with demonstrated exposure across multiple disciplines (lifecycle/email/SMS, brand, product marketing, campaign management, or growth).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience in a marketing environment.
- Proven background in marketing strategy and campaign execution—able to plan, brief, run, and measure campaigns with rigor.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to keep multi-channel campaigns on track without sacrificing creative quality.
- Comfortable operating across strategic and executional levels; adaptable and effective in a multi-hat environment.
- Exceptional clarity of thought with a strong aversion to vague value propositions and unfocused messaging.
- Collaborative and energized by cross-functional work, particularly with creative teammates.
- Confident in challenging assumptions and raising hard questions constructively.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with email and SMS platforms such as Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar tools.
- Background in consumer products, direct-to-consumer (DTC), or e-commerce environments.
- Experience launching new products or product updates across multiple channels.
- Familiarity with PDP optimization or lifecycle storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex product details into simple, compelling narratives.
Why This Role Matters
This role ensures our products don’t just exist — they’re clearly understood, compellingly positioned, and consistently championed. You’ll help make sure every product earns its place in our lineup and in our customers’ minds. You'll help turn creative ideas into well-planned, well-run campaigns.

Why Work at Zoe?
At Zoe, we make products for parents — and we genuinely understand what that life looks like. The early mornings, the juggling act, the moments you don't want to miss. We built this company with that reality in mind, and it shapes everything about how we work.
We want our team to love what they do and feel proud of where they do it. But we also want them to be present — for bedtime routines, school pickups, and all the in-between moments that matter most. Being a caregiver isn't something you leave at the door here; it's something we respect and make room for.
When our people thrive at home, they bring their best to work. That's not just something we say — it's something we try to live every day.
