Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, pastries, and cookies with precision and attention to detail
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Package baked items efficiently for retail display or catering orders
- Assist in food production processes ensuring consistency and quality in all products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow recipes accurately while also contributing creative ideas for new products
- Support catering events by preparing specialty baked goods and desserts as needed
- Handle food ingredients properly, adhering to proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary roles within the food industry
- Strong cake decorating skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with food production, preparation, and packaging processes
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and baking tools
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not required
- Culinary training or certification is a plus but not mandatory
