What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Experience Advisor position at Zoe Event Rentals?
Client Experience Advisor
Zoe Event Rentals | Rockville, MD | Part-Time Seasonal | $18–$22/hr
About Zoe Event Rentals
Zoe Event Rentals is a luxury event rental company serving the DMV area — weddings, corporate and government events, and social celebrations across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Our Rockville showroom is where clients come to see, touch, and fall in love with the pieces that will bring their event to life. We're looking for someone who can be the face of that experience.
The Role
As our Client Experience Advisor, you're the first impression clients get when they walk into our showroom or call in with an inquiry. You'll guide brides, event planners, and corporate clients through our collection, answer their questions, help them imagine their event, and turn showroom visits and phone calls into booked orders. This is a sales role — but the kind where you win by listening well, suggesting thoughtful add-ons, and making people feel taken care of.
What You'll Do
- Welcome walk-in clients to the showroom and guide them through our rental collection
- Answer inbound phone calls and respond to email inquiries promptly and warmly
- Ask the right questions to understand each client's event vision, budget, and guest count
- Recommend add-ons and upgrades that genuinely enhance the client's event (thoughtful upselling, not pushy)
- Prepare quotes, contracts, and follow-ups using our rental management software (we'll train you)
- Keep the showroom looking polished — tidy displays, fresh staging, inviting atmosphere
- Coordinate with the warehouse team so clients get accurate information on availability and logistics
- Follow up with leads who didn't book on the first visit — warm, not salesy
What We're Looking For
- Outgoing and energetic — you light up when you meet new people
- Patient and calm — weddings are emotional, and some clients need extra time to decide
- Comfortable with sales — you're excited about hitting goals, not afraid to ask for the booking
- Strong communicator on the phone, in person, and over email
- Tech-comfortable — you pick up new software quickly (CRM, quoting tools, email platforms)
- Reliable and detail-oriented — quotes need to be accurate, follow-ups need to happen
- Event industry experience is a big plus (rentals, weddings, catering, venues, floral, planning)
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus — we serve a diverse DMV client base
Schedule
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Approximately 19 hours per week
Compensation & Perks
- $18–$22 per hour, based on experience
- Paid training — we'll get you up to speed on our collection, software, and process
- Employee discount on rentals for your own events
- Flexible scheduling — we work with you on time-off requests and life happens
- A warm, supportive team environment in a growing DMV business
How to Apply
Apply through really with your resume and a short note about why this role appeals to you. No formal cover letter required — we care more about who you are than how polished your paperwork is.
