Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, providing exceptional guest service and supporting the overall dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared food orders promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in dining areas
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order management when required
- Support servers by bussing tables and assisting with guest requests to enhance guest satisfaction
- Uphold food safety standards during handling, delivery, and setup of food items
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of service areas, including side stations and storage spaces
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience with banquet service, catering, or hotel guest services is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a professional appearance and demeanor
