Sterile Processing Supervisor (CRCST) – Contract
Location: Bethpage, NY

Schedule: Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (7.5-hour shift 30-minute unpaid break)
Contract Duration: January 5, 2026 – February 28, 2026
Job Summary
Northwell Health – Bethpage is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor (CRCST) for a contract assignment at a large, state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center. This facility supports multiple hospitals, tertiary care sites, and ambulatory surgery centers, and provides urgent/emergency reprocessing support for the region.
The Supervisor will oversee daily sterile processing operations, lead staff, maintain compliance with sterilization standards, and ensure safe and efficient workflow across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of Central Sterile Processing services.
- Ensure staff compliance with all sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in record-keeping and department audits.
- Serve as liaison between Central Sterile and perioperative areas, resolving workflow issues.
- Oversee the proper handling, care, and processing of instruments entering decontamination.
- Accept and tag fast tracks; assign and adjust staff duties as needed.
- Support operational flow and ensure timely reprocessing for multiple facilities.
- Utilize STERIS Washers, Autoclaves, and SynergyTrak IT system.
Required Qualifications
- Current CRCST or CSPD certification (must be valid through entire contract).
- 5 years of sterile processing experience.
- Leadership or management experience required.
- Associate’s Degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds and perform prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and manual tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,600.00 per week
