Travel Pharmacy Technician – Outpatient / Managed Care
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a 26-week contract assignment supporting pharmacy operations, prior authorizations, pharmacy benefits administration, and member services in a managed care environment.
Schedule
- 26-Week Contract
- Day Shift
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Process pharmacy prior authorizations and benefit requests
- Review pharmacy claims and member eligibility
- Communicate with providers, pharmacies, members, and healthcare teams
- Perform data entry, documentation, and workflow coordination
- Research and resolve claims and authorization issues
- Support audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members and healthcare partners
Requirements
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (or pending at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Managed Care experience required
- Prior Authorization experience required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits and claims processing
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Plans, or Health Plan Operations preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a health plan or managed care setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Pharmacy claims auditing experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $1,750.00 - $1,950.00 per week
