Medical Assistant (Contract)
Location: Heater Road Primary Care – Lebanon, NH
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 | 40 hrs/week
Contract Duration: January 19, 2026 – April 18, 2026
Job Summary
Heater Road Primary Care is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant for an ASAP contract opportunity. This busy, fast-paced clinic provides care to patients across the lifespan—from pediatrics to geriatrics—in both Internal Medicine and Family Medicine settings. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment while delivering exceptional patient care.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong clinical skills, gain cross-training in multiple areas, and work closely with providers and clinical teams.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients; notify appropriate provider.
- Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for exams and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs; communicate findings and patient concerns to the provider.
- Perform tasks such as:
- EKGs
- Urine dips
- Pregnancy testing
- Hearing & vision screening
- Lead testing
- Vaccine administration
- Assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Process prescription refills and complete related administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinic protocols.
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Schedule & Shift Details
- Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (8-hour shift within this window)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 5x8 schedule
- Weekend Requirement: Rotational Saturday mornings, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- On-Call: None
Required Credentials
- Certified Medical Assistant through:
- AAMA (CMA) OR
- AMT (RMA)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient primary care setting
- Pediatric through geriatric care experience
- Immunization experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
- Willingness to participate in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage based on departmental needs

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $1,650.00 - $1,850.00 per week
