About the Role
We are a rapidly growing deep-tech Process Design House (PDH) developing, designing, manufacturing, and testing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for demanding applications in sensing, connectivity, and computing.
Building on leadership in low-loss silicon nitride photonics, the organization is expanding its technology offering to include SOI silicon photonics with pathways toward heterogeneous integration.
This role offers a unique opportunity to help transition cutting-edge photonics technology into commercial products and accelerate adoption of next-generation integrated photonics platforms.
We are seeking an experienced and highly connected Senior Business Developer – Silicon Photonics with strong familiarity with the silicon photonics ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Sales
Identify and engage strategic customers across telecom, datacom, sensing, and related markets
Drive the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement and technical discussions through negotiation and contract closure
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
Deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals that communicate the value of integrated photonics solutions
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets
Market Development
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging application areas for integrated photonics
Increase global awareness and market presence within the photonics ecosystem
Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, and industry networking events
Strategy & Collaboration
Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to translate customer needs into product and service requirements
Provide insights on applications, market segments, and emerging opportunities to guide product roadmap and strategy
Identify funding opportunities and evaluate alignment with company initiatives
Qualifications
5 years of technical knowledge in integrated photonics
Proven experience in business development, sales, or technical account management in a high-tech or B2B environment
Skills
Strong network within telecom, datacom, optical communications, silicon photonics, or related industries
Results-driven sales mindset with the ability to identify and capture new opportunities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
Strong commercial acumen with experience structuring complex deals and partnerships
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently within a fast-moving technical environment
Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.
