E-Commerce Director

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven E-Commerce Director to lead our client's digital commerce strategy and drive aggressive revenue growth. This senior leadership role is responsible for owning and executing a 3-Year sales plan, overseeing the full web and mobile sales experience, and bridging the gap between sales, technology, and marketing. The ideal candidate brings curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the drive to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead the company's digital commerce strategy, driving revenue expansion and ensuring full execution of the 3-Year sales plan.
• Oversee the end-to-end web and mobile sales experience, with a focus on aggressive revenue growth and an optimized online customer journey.
• Manage website performance including SEO, paid advertising, product catalog management, and online merchandising (website platform is Magento) — supported by an agency and a product manager.
• Drive customer acquisition and retention initiatives through data-informed strategies and targeted campaigns.
• Manage technical platform scaling and web operations to continuously improve the online customer experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Customer Support teams to ensure product availability, accurate shipping lead times, and excellent after-sales support.
• Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities and improve performance outcomes.
• Lead and manage the e-commerce team, external vendors, and technology partners to deliver against strategic objectives.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a senior e-commerce or digital leadership role, with a strong track record of driving online revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM/paid advertising, email marketing, and conversion rate optimization.
• Experience managing e-commerce platforms, technology vendors, and agency relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across sales, technology, and marketing.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
• Experience managing product online merchandising for a B2B or B2C product-based business.
• Familiarity with OMS integrations and platform scalability considerations.
• Background in e-commerce within distribution, fleet, industrial, or commercial products sectors.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
