Job Description:
- Design Engineer - Level 2 to support the design and development of components and systems.
Responsibilities:
- This role includes all Level 1 responsibilities, with added ownership of complex designs, analysis, and support through prototype and production.
- Design and develop components, parts, and systems from concept to production
- Perform design feasibility studies, cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection
- Create and maintain 3D models and layouts in CATIA V5 (required); V6 preferred Execute hose and pipe routing and harness/cable routing
- Prepare, check, and release 2D and 3D drawings Apply GD&T to ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturability
- Support prototype builds, testing, and manufacturing launch Verify designs meet quality, cost, performance, and regulatory requirements
- Recommend design improvements to support testing and mass production
- Coordinate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross‐functional teams
Requirements:
- Required Experience 6 years of engineering design experience
- Experience in concept development, specification setting, and layout creation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Required Skills CATIA V5 (must), V6 (preferred) 2D & 3D drawing creation and release GD&T Hose, pipe, harness, and cable routing
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and part construction
- Nice to Have Experience mentoring junior engineers Familiarity with PLM and engineering change processes
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
