CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives aligned with kdc/one’s Global Operational Excellence Program, with the objective of enhancing organizational profitability, efficiency, and overall business performance.
- Ensure plant manufacturing process improvement and adherence to the Group strategy and standard requirements through applying the Lean Management principles and tools.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture through defining and leading the implementation of any relevant initiative.
- Promote, coordinate, and perform Continuous Improvement and Kaizen-workshops in direct and indirect areas, to assure the implementation in line with other Plants worldwide.
- Coordinate CII-savings initiatives, leading the continuous excellence implementation approach, and coordinating with historical Customers on lean/cost savings activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of the kdc/one Operational Excellence culture, specifically designed to meet the expectations and standards of global blue-chip customers.
- Organize and manage Kaizen activities to improve performance in any areas, starting with lines efficiency, quality, supply chain and report to global CI Director of the division.
- Provide guidance, train and coach cross functional team members on Company Practical Problem Solving-PPS tool.
- Develop and engage people to improve performance starting with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and go through the entire plant.
- Coordinate with other Company plants, using Lean principles in Product Development, Engineering for New Products Launches, supporting plants on R&D trial run on each development stage.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives focusing on plant productivity improvement and stock rotation’s management. In line with this, develop lean administration and product development process focused initiatives.
- Ensure consistent compliance with kdc/one Operational Excellence processes and standards, including 5S, TPM and visual management tools across areas.
- Lead daily meetings with the staff responsible for the implementation of Lean techniques.
- Measure and monitor manufacturing enterprise KPIs improvements trends in order ensure improvements sustainability.
- Lead Lean techniques’ improvement activities and workshops.
- Deliver action plans for pragmatic roll-out of kdc/one Operational Excellence program & tools (i.e.: VSM; SMED; Kanban; Hejnunka) with relative risk management approach.
- Promote, support and coordinate Kaizen Events ensuring event objectives are consistent with overall site planning.
- Drive cultural change towards a lean organization.
- Management review participation, KPI updates and review, including document control activities and management in accordance with the function responsibility.
Requirements:
- Fluent spoken and written English is a prerequisite
- Technical University Degree
- 6 Sigma – Green Belt certification as preferable
- 5 years experiences within a global manufacturer in manufacturing / production / quality or related Lean driven functions.
- International experience and multicultural approach would be appreciated.4 years of production planning experience in manufacturing
- Lean management principles and tools’ implementation expertise (Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, SMED, TPM and problem solving)
- Process analysis and improvement expertise (value stream mapping & business process mapping)
- Manufacturing processes review and improvement analysis
- Solid knowledge of VSM, 5S, Standard Work, VM, Line balancing, Problem Solving, Kaizen workshop management.
- TPM, SMED
- Proven capability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from senior leadership to shop-floor personnel.
- Solid planning capabilities
- Willing to travel and work in a global team.
