Position Overview
The Product Designer will play a key role in transforming design concepts into 3D models and technical drawings. This role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of rendering processes, and the ability to work closely with our Director of Design and collaborate with teams across ZLINE.
Job Duties:
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings of appliances, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
- Collaborate with product designers and engineers to develop accurate design specifications.
- Ensure drawings meet standards and quality requirements.
- Revise and update models and drawings based on feedback and design changes.
- Prepare presentation-quality renderings and visuals to support design reviews and product development needs.
- Maintain organized documentation and version control of all design files.
- Stay up to date with best industry practices, CAD software advancements, and drafting standards.
- Coordinating with overseas partners and the execution of design
- Design spaces (displays, showrooms, exhibition concepts)
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- Experience in 3D drafting. Preferably within product design, product development, and/or manufacturing, but not required
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Experience creating both technical drawings/sketches and high-quality renderings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Working Hours & Hours of Operation:
Reno, Nevada: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch, Fridays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch
