ZLA Solutions has an immediate need to direct hire a CMM Programmer for a manufacturing client in Clinton, TN.
Job Description
The associate will support the client's testing lab, specifically in the areas of measurement and calibration functions, and will be responsible for completing product and equipment confirmation. This includes interpreting equipment, product, and jig specifications and/or drawings to determine calibration and measurement requirements to insure acceptance or failure to the specifications and completing official lab reports as needed. The associate will Insure proper calibration and operational conditions for equipment and conduct production and laboratory audits to insure proper calibration, operation, and identification of all equipment used to confirm product quality.
Shift and Pay Information
> Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
> Pay Rate: $29.00 - $33.00 / hour (depending on experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Follow all procedures and work instructions within the laboratory
- Maintain proper level of organization and cleanliness required (5S Program) for laboratory facilities and equipment
- Reading drawings and other technical documents to determine and/or interpret GDT requirements for parts and products
- Use of various measurement tools including but not limited to CMM, micrometers, and measurement calipers to evaluate part and product dimensional attributes against drawing and CAD layouts
- Collection and reporting of PPAP dimensional data
- Maintaining and auditing gauge and equipment calibration and certification
- Root cause analysis of dimensional issues
- Maintain records for all equipment used to confirm product quality. This includes equipment identification, calibration, tracking, monitoring, and as needed repair
- Insure that all appropriate documentation regarding proper setup, usage, calibration, and maintenance of equipment used to confirm product quality is stored and accessible
- Understand a wide variety of equipment manuals to be able to insure the proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of equipment used to confirm product quality
- As needed, assist in other laboratory activities as described
Necessary Job Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in product reliability / environmental testing is required
- At least 3-5 years of experience in general manufacturing/quality is required
- High school diplomas is required / Associates Degree (or two years of related college) is preferred
- Experience with GageTrak software would be a huge plus
Necessary Job Skills
- Must be able to calibrate and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Must be able to utilize CAD/CAM software
- Must be thorough understanding of PC-DMIS
- Must be able to read and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Must be able to read and understand technical documents, manuals, specifications, and dimensional drawings
- Must be able to read/write in English
- Must be able to pass a background check & pre-employment drug screen (a misdemeanor/felony record does not necessarily eliminate you from consideration)
