Role Description
The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Burnsville, NC. This position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications services, including cable television, internet, and digital voice for residential and commercial customers. Responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, completing repair and upgrades, ensuring optimal system performance, and delivering exceptional customer service during on-site visits. Additionally, the role entails adherence to all company and safety protocols, as well as accurate reporting and documentation of completed work.
Qualifications
- Technical skills: Proficiency in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunications services such as cable, internet, and voice systems.
- Tool and equipment usage: Familiarity with using hand tools, testing equipment, and cable meters for diagnosing and repairing issues.
- Customer service: Excellent ability to communicate with customers, provide professional assistance, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Skills in organization and problem-solving: Effectiveness in documenting service work, managing job tasks, and resolving technical challenges.
- Physical capabilities: Capacity for working in various environments, including outdoors or in confined spaces, and lifting equipment as necessary.
