Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical repair. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems and equipment in various settings. The technician will work closely with other tradespeople and must be able to interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure efficient system operation.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including R290 refrigeration units.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Collaborate with construction teams on HVAC design and installation projects.
- Provide field service support for commercial and residential clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Execute plumbing tasks related to refrigeration systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance practices.
- Experience in appliance repair is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.
- Welding skills are preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
