Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and providing product recommendations
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing the shopping experience
- Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to maintain an organized and inviting store environment
- Upsell relevant products or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
- Maintain phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering, preferably in grocery or retail stores with POS systems
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash register operations and transaction handling
- Excellent communication skills and friendly phone etiquette to engage with customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs more effectively
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations is advantageous
