Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, steering components, and powertrain systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Work with heavy equipment mechanics on specialized repairs involving diesel engines, air brakes, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive electrical systems.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on diverse vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles when applicable.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers with a focus on excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop environments.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of automotive suspension systems, transmissions, powertrain components, brake systems, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for efficient troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems and ADAS technology is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Certification or training in heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
