The Sales Assistant is an inside position. You would be responsible for completing administrative tasks as well as helping to grow sales and interacting with prospective customers and maintaining existing relationships. You would work in a variety of roles to contribute to our overall sales growth.
Responsibilities and Duties
Job Duties:
The Sales Assistant duties will include but are not limited to:
· This is a hybrid position. You would be expected to work in the office M/W/Th and from home Tu/Fr
· Data entry- completing Excel spreadsheets and working with Netsuite
· Servicing existing accounts, and establishing new accounts, by communicating with prospective customers online or by phone
· Communicating closely with internal and external departments
· Developing a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of ZippyPaws products
· Consulting with customers to help them in their sales decisions.
· Providing exemplary customer service
· Performing other duties as assigned
· Organizing and possibly attending trade shows
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent data entry skills and ability to use Excel to create spreadsheets and some familiarity with Excel formulas
- Self-confidence, ability to learn quickly, presentation skills, consultative sales ability and a high degree of motivation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You absolutely MUST be able to write clearly without spelling or grammatical errors. You must also be well-spoken and articulate with an outgoing and friendly personality.
- Ability to type 40 WPM
- Minimum 1 year of related experience is a plus
- Must pass a drug test and background check
- Must love dogs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree
- Familiarity with Netsuite and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with CRM and working within large retail portals
- Knowledge of shipping and e-commerce
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
