Product Manager, Approvals Platform

Please note we are looking for someone who is willing and able to come into our San Francisco office on a hybrid basis (3 days/week).

Your Role

As a Product Manager on the Approvals Platform team, you will shape the systems that power Zip’s most critical workflows – from approval configuration and routing logic to the most visited surfaces (dashboards, workflow diagrams, etc.) in the product.

You Will

• Drive development across the entire breadth of the Approvals Platform, building an enterprise-grade core and a simple, flexible experience that teams can adopt and reuse.
• Collaborate deeply with engineering and design to define requirements, provide product direction, make tradeoffs, and deliver high-quality platform capabilities and UX.
• Conduct structured product discovery, including stakeholder interviews, competitive research, data analysis, and usability reviews.
• Test, validate, and measure success of platform improvements using well-defined metrics and feedback from early adopters.
  
  
  

Your Qualifications

• 2-4 years of product management and 4-8 years of overall professional experience; experience working with SaaS platforms is a plus.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured components and develop clear recommendations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influencing without authority, and driving alignment across engineering, design, sales, customer teams, and partner teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and level of detail to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
