Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable CoordinatorPOSITION SUMMARYThe Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Coordinator role is critical in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing, and maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting processes and thrive in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAccounts Payable (AP):Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.Verify and reconcile purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices.Prepare payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) for execution by ControllerMaintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies promptly.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Prepare monthly Michigan Sales & Use Tax ReportsAccounts Receivable (AR):Generate and send customer invoices based on the services provided.Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.Prepare aging reports and assist with credit management.Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to resolve billing issues.Support the President, Controller, & CFO with ad-hoc projects as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS2 years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting preferred.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ADP, Sage50).Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task and enter data accurately.Strong analytical & problem solving skills.Proven track record of punctuality & reliabilityHigh level of integrity and adherence to best practices of confidentiality.Familiarity with transportation industry billing practices.
