Job Title: Lead Estimator (Commercial Construction)
Location: Remote (Must be able to attend in-person meetings 1–2 times per month in the Flint/Clarkston, MI area)
Duration: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
- Develop competitive bid proposals and ensure timely submission.
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the estimating process.
- Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Maintain organized estimating documentation and historical cost data.
- Attend in-person team meetings in the Flint/Clarkston, MI area once or twice per month.
Preferred Project Experience:
- Candidates should have estimating experience on projects such as:
- Restaurants
- Retail Facilities
- Medical/Healthcare Buildings
- Typical Project Value: $350,000 – $2 Million
Required Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Strong background in Commercial and MEP estimating.
- Industrial construction estimating experience is highly preferred.
- Some Civil estimating experience is beneficial.
- Experience leading the estimating process and managing multiple bids.
- Proficiency with: Building Connected & Builder Trend
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and bid processes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
