Job Overview
Our growing dance studio is seeking an experienced Acrobatic Arts/Acro instructor to join our team for the upcoming season.
We are looking for a positive, reliable instructor who has experience teaching and safely spotting acrobatic skills in a dance setting. The ideal candidate should be confident working with recreational and competitive dancers and able to progress students through proper technique and skill development. Background checks and references required
Duties
- Teach weekly acro classes for various age and skill levels
- Provide hands-on spotting when appropriate and necessary
- Develop students' strength, flexibility, technique, and confidence
- Communicate effectively with studio staff regarding student progress and safety concerns
- Support a positive, encouraging, and team-oriented studio culture
Skills
- Previous experience teaching acro, gymnastics, or tumbling
- Strong knowledge of proper progressions and injury prevention
- Ability to safely spot and teach skills including:
- Front and back walkovers
- Back handsprings
- Aerials
- Front and back tucks
- Other intermediate and advanced acrobatic skills
- Ability to manage a classroom environment while maintaining high safety standards
- Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic about working with children and teens
- Preference will be given to candidates with extensive hands-on spotting experience in back handsprings, aerials, and tucks.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
