Job Description
Position Summary
The Kokomo Masonry Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for managing masonry projects from bid phase through final completion in the Kokomo region. This role prepares accurate masonry estimates, plans and coordinates project execution, manages budgets and schedules, and ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The position serves as a key liaison between ownership, general contractors, field crews, and suppliers for all masonry scopes including brick, block, stone, restoration, waterproofing, and related work.
Key Responsibilities: Estimating & Pre‑Construction
· Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate masonry estimates
· Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontract pricing
· Establish crew sizes, productivity rates, sequencing plans, and work durations
· Identify project risks, constructability issues, and value‑engineering opportunities
· Participate in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and pre‑construction meetings
· Assist with pricing and documentation for change orders and alternate scopes
Project Management
· Manage awarded masonry projects from contract execution through closeout
· Develop project schedules, manpower plans, and work sequencing
· Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, suppliers, and internal teams
· Track project costs, budgets, labor hours, and production performance
· Prepare and manage change orders, progress billing, and cost‑to‑complete forecasts
· Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and correspondence
· Proactively resolve project issues to maintain schedule, quality, and profitability
Field Coordination & Operations Support
· Coordinate with masonry foremen and field crews to ensure efficient execution of work
· Monitor jobsite progress, quality, and productivity through site visits
· Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field conditions to support proper installation
· Assist with material ordering, deliveries, and site logistics
· Support punch list completion, warranty work, and final inspections
Safety & Quality
· Promote and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
· Ensure masonry work meets contract documents, specifications, and quality standards
· Address quality issues, corrective actions, and inspections promptly
Qualifications
· 5–10 years of experience in masonry construction, estimating, or project management
· Strong knowledge of brick, block, stone, restoration, and building envelope systems
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Experience preparing estimates and managing commercial construction projects
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction software (Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, or similar)
· Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
· OSHA‑30 certification recommended
· Experience working with union labor

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
