Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using systems.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests.
- Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Provide information about menu items and specials, assisting guests with any questions or needs.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Familiarity with food service operations and guest services principles.
- Proficiency in using POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential for this role.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be 18 or older.
