Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 base salary
Position Overview
We are seeking an Interior Radar Engineer to join an automotive R&D engineering team supporting the development and launch of an in-cabin radar product.
This engineer will work across radar system testing, validation, data collection, calibration, software performance testing, and vehicle integration. The position has a broad technical scope and is designed for an engineer who can understand how hardware, software, sensors, calibration, and vehicle-level performance work together.
Direct in-cabin radar experience is preferred. Engineers with relevant exterior automotive radar, RF, signal processing, sensor, or mechatronics experience will also be considered.
What You’ll Do

• Develop a detailed technical understanding of the radar system and serve as a technical resource for internal engineering teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Plan and execute radar system integration, testing, and validation activities.
• Conduct data collection using vehicles, laboratory setups, test equipment, and calibration chambers.
• Perform software performance testing and KPI validation on PC-based and embedded targets.
• Analyze test results and develop technical concepts to improve radar system performance.
• Support radar sensor and antenna calibration, including vehicle and headliner integration.
• Flash firmware, machine-learning models, configuration files, and calibration data onto hardware.
• Prepare and execute customer demonstrations, including system setup, testing, and data capture.
• Reproduce technical issues reported by customers or internal engineering teams and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Conduct regression testing following software, model, firmware, or configuration changes.
• Use and help improve data collection, visualization, and instrumentation tools.
• Define, execute, track, and document test cases, corner cases, and validation results.
• Maintain test setups, fixtures, procedures, and calibration documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers across multiple countries and time zones.
• Support technical knowledge sharing and internal training as the radar system moves toward production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional experience within the automotive industry as it relates to radar technology - experience working with automotive sensors, radar systems, electronic hardware, or related sensing technologies.
• Hands-on experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
  • Radar system architecture or radar system design
  • Radar data pipeline definition/management/optimization
  • Radar signal processing
  • Radar object detection and classification software
• Ability to systematically document testing, results, issues, and technical findings.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and external suppliers.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. International travel is expected to be less than 10%.
