Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and administration of the annual operating and capital improvement budgets.
- Analyze non-general fund budget proposals and prepare five-year financial forecasts.
- Review and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
- Conduct cost projections, financial analysis, and generate management reports.
- Prepare responses for budget inquiries from internal departments, board members, citizens, and external agencies.
- Identify and recommend solutions for budgetary and financial issues throughout the fiscal year.
- Contribute to process improvements and promote budgeting best practices.
- Participate as a key member of the Capital Improvement Program Working Group.
- Supervise and develop assigned team members.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of budget/finance experience in a public sector or education-related environment
- Strong skills in financial systems, Excel, and data analysis
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
