About the Role

As the Business Development Director, you'll lead Zing Credit Union's external growth strategy throughout the Denver Metro area. You'll build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, schools, chambers of commerce, employers, and strategic partners to drive membership growth, increase deposits, and expand Zing's community presence.

This role combines business development, relationship management, community outreach, account acquisition, and strategic planning to help grow Zing's membership and strengthen our impact in the communities we serve. You'll serve as a visible ambassador for Zing, representing the credit union at networking events, community functions, employer orientations, workshops, and partner meetings throughout the Denver Metro area.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth initiatives
  • Build relationships with employers, community organizations, schools, chambers, nonprofit partners, and referral sources
  • Represent Zing Credit Union at community events, workshops, employer orientations, networking events, and SEG meetings
  • Generate new member, consumer deposit, business deposit, and lending opportunities
  • Open new accounts and assist members through the loan application process
  • Manage onboarding activities and maintain ongoing member engagement through 30-60-90 day follow-up strategies
  • Track outreach activity, lead generation, conversions, campaign effectiveness, and ROI
  • Utilize CRM systems and reporting tools to manage pipelines and measure success
  • Collaborate with branches, marketing, lending, and operations teams to achieve growth goals
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and brand standards

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, community development, marketing, relationship management, or growth strategy
  • Proven success driving customer/member acquisition, partnership development, deposit growth, or comparable business results
  • Experience managing prospect pipelines, CRM systems, and performance reporting
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, a clean motor vehicle record, and reliable personal transportation

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field
  • Credit union, banking, or financial services experience
  • Experience with CRM, MCIF, or member analytics tools
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Travel Requirements

This is a community-facing role that requires regular travel throughout the Denver Metro area.

  • Attend community events, employer meetings, networking functions, workshops, employer orientations, and partner visits
  • Maintain a visible presence in the communities we serve and represent Zing Credit Union at outreach events
  • Travel throughout the Denver Metro area is required and may include occasional evenings and weekends to support business development and community engagement activities
  • Must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a clean motor vehicle record
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to transport outreach materials, event supplies, and marketing collateral as needed
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds
