As a fully licensed Illinois real estate company, we provide brokerage, property management, leasing, redevelopment, and renovation services throughout east central Illinois. Our team specializes in restoring distressed and value-add residential and commercial properties, and we continue to expand with significant new projects in the pipeline. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Maintain and reconcile multiple entities, bank accounts, and intercompany transactions
- Oversee real estate accounting functions including property financials, rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and lease tracking
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, and internal controls
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, lenders, and financial institutions
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to executive leadership
- Supervise accounting staff and assist with process improvements
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
- Support acquisition, development, and operational reporting activities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3 years of accounting or financial management experience
- Real estate accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and GAAP principles
- Experience managing multiple entities and complex reconciliations
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with construction, equipment rental, hospitality, or property management operations is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous accounting experience in property management or the real estate industry
- Working knowledge of industry standards, financial practices, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
- Experience with AppFolio accounting software
- CPA license preferred
